Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

This is part of my Tutorial project "Building an ocPortal Theme Generator"
Please refer to the tutorial for more details.

There are several good products to help you manage your Apache, MySQL and PHP services on a local server:

BitNami ocPortal Stack greatly simplifies the deployment of ocPortal as it is all inclusive and easy to install, but I've got to use WampServer extensively lately and liked what it can do. It also installs automatically (installer), and its usage is very intuitive. You will be able to tune your server without even touching the setting files. However, ocPortal does not come pre-installed and therefore the reason for this tutorial.
