Well, well, we have now reached the end of May (for those who've been reading the blog, we've been counting down to today for a month), and that means…
ocPortal 3 is now available for beta testing! All of us on the team are very excited about this release. It's been in the process of development for the last 6 months, and as we've hopefully illustrated over this last month, it is a very significant improvement over our previous versions.
Please remember that this is a beta release, and while we've squashed as many bugs as possible, we still officially consider this release to be "unstable". This means we don't recommend upgrading an active website to this beta, because there may well be unforseen problems.
With that aside, have fun. And
please - if you find any problems (from usability problems, to documentation you find confusing, to flat-out
bugs),
let us know. Our goal was and is to make version 3 as reliable and user-friendly as possible, and we seriously value your feedback. If you believe that something should behave differently, let us know - and there's a good chance that your change may be incorporated.

We expect the final release of version 3 to be made at the end of June, along with the relaunch of our websites.
The more major bug reports are
being filed.
