Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

ocPortal 3

ocPortal 3 We are pleased to announce that we have begun development on our next version of ocPortal: Version 3. :)

ocPortal 2 created a new way to manage websites, with its groundbreaking flexibility and power. We're ready to expand on this with version 3, by focusing on the most crucial element for you, as a user: the interface.

In version 3, we aim to redevelop all of the major ocPortal interfaces. This means simplifying tasks where possible, redesigning the major interfaces to be more accomodating and intuitive, and improving consistency across the entire system. We've gone back to the drawing board with this version, both visually for the interface, and conceptually by removing common stumbling blocks.

Our goal is to finish all of this without affecting any power of the system. We trust even expert users will find the new interfaces accomodating, allowing them to tap into powerful features that are not visible until requested.

The design phase for this new version is now finished, and we will be releasing details and screenshots as features are completed. Many of these feature are totally revolutionary and will not be announced until shortly before ocPortal 3's release.

We aim to release version 3 sometime this summer.
