Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS. ocPortal 9 is superseded by Composr 10.

ocPortal 5.0.1 released

ocPortal 5.0.1 released Version 5.0.1 has now been released. This version is a patch release that introduces a number of bug fixes since the last release. Upgrading is strongly advised.

To upgrade follow the steps in your website's http://mybaseurl/upgrader.php script. You will need to copy the URL of the attached TAR file during step 3.

You can generate an upgrader from any version of ocPortal to any other version. If you access this upgrade post via the version information box on your Admin Zone front page then we'll automatically know what version you're running.

Fixes have been made to the following issues:

  • Fixed issue of attachments being put inside 'page' or 'url' Comcode tags
  • Fixed 'hyperlink' attachment type
  • Put welcome emails on the menu even if OCF is not being used (as it can work with newsletters)
  • Small bug fix in forum_stub.php
  • Small layout fix for forums (relating to word-wrapping)
  • Small fix to shared installs running on non-default ports
  • Made upgrading shared-installs easier
  • Fixed preview on template edit screen, if got there via 'Edit this'
  • Fixed HipHop PHP display of video attachments
  • Made backup use much less memory
  • Fixed usability issues with backup compression, better progress feedback
  • Fixed empty brackets on ticket system comment form
  • Fixed search bug
  • Improved code editor performance
  • Better drag&drop file upload support (works on Firefox again, and should work soon on Google Chrome - waiting for them to update their support)
  • Fixed incorrect insertion of '$' on template editor parameter inserter
  • Fixed inaccessible admin menu links for non-privileged users
  • Fixed bad quoting of where blocks are used in the add block tool
  • Fixed problem showing some RSS feeds
  • Fixed white-screen after making comments
  • Fixed bad 'add page' link on some 'missing page' screens
  • Fixed some files being shown as 'alien' that we know the purpose of
  • Fixed template editor stack trace if you have templates edited in multiple themes and try and do a revert
  • Fixed nasty problems with catalogue long-Comcode input fields
  • Fixed incorrect event lengths for recurring events
  • Tidied up the view-event screen slightly
  • Fixed stack trace adding a blog post to a new blog, if done via the cms_blogs module and default settings used
  • Fixed Comcode parse stack trace if empty usernames are linked to
  • Added #body_inner stub to CSS to make things more obvious for people
  • Fixed IE6 HTTPS download bug on HipHop PHP
  • Fixed scrollbars on quick reply expansion animation
  • Fixed stack trace on home screen if one of your friends is deleted
  • Fixed AJAX rating (was saving 1/2 of what you rated)
