There is a serious SEO bug in the v8 release candidates, with pages incorrectly marked as 'noindex'.Anyone using v8 RC on a live site should upload the attached file ASAP, to avoid a window of time where some of your pages would not show up on Google.

My site all but disappeared out of the searches but I am happy to report that within hours of applying the fix Google was all over re-indexing it.

Can you give an idea of what type of pages are being marked "noindex"? I know that in previous discussions that some changes were made because Google was over-indexing things. I believe you fixed these through the use of the 'rel="canonical"' tag. Is this something different?

Anyway, as Bob alluded to, that's the price I pay with wanting to have the cutting edge features. Hopefully they index again soon, and I'm rolling again.
I am sure that I updated my custom header template to reflect any changes but I better go double check, it may be my bad.
