Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS. ocPortal 9 is superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

The tracker is now for Composr, and a general update Quick update for y'all…

In a further step towards our rebranding, the tracker now uses Composr terminology for things, and is structured according to the Composr addons division.

Here are the main 3…
ocPortal –> Composr
OCF –> Conversr
OcCLE –> Commandr
But there are around 30 renames for things.

Our new website and documentation is fully implemented now, pending the odd additional image for the tutorials. I think you will all be very pleased with the quality of the new site and documentation.

What remains are a few smaller development tasks, and getting Composr Mobile SDK released (which is taking a bit longer than expected, but I'm not responsible for it directly myself thankfully).

I'm working to a strategy of slicing off whatever can be done to make the transition goes smoothly, before making it. For example, I've already implemented some transition code for migrating from, ready to flick into action. I'm still not going to give a date until everything is ready, particularly once all our upgrade instructions are written and I have tested upgrading v9 site(s) to the final code. This is the only way to preserve my sanity, given the size the task has been. But I can say that there are no large development tasks remaining at this point, just details.

I want to sync everything up, especially getting Composr Mobile SDK out at the same time as Composr v10. There are a few tasks I have on my todo list that don't directly relate to the release that I may work on while waiting for these to get in sync.

And, once v10 is out it will be quickly moving onto v10.1, as there is one particularly customer who sponsored some functionality quite some time back that couldn't make the v10 cut, and he/they have been incredibly patient waiting. I also need to prepare for a house move, as I basically have put my life on hold to work on emergency client projects in 2015, then finishing our relaunch. So time is still pretty tight for me!
