Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

3.0.1 and 2.6.3

3.0.1 and 2.6.3 Versions 3.0.1 and 2.6.3 have now been released.
  • 2.6.3 is intended only as a maintenance release for those using the 2.6 line.
  • 3.0.1 contains important bug fixes for problems found in the last few days. Inevitably new bugs got created during beta testing, or went unnoticed until after beta testing (when version 3 reached a larger audience).

Upgrading is strongly advised due to important bug fixes. It should also be painless in both cases.

3.0.1

To upgrade from the 3.0.0 release, simply upload the files inside the attached zip file over existing files. After this is done, run http://mybaseurl/force_upgrade.php. This upgrade package will not work for directly upgrading the beta releases. To upgrade from a 2.6 release, follow the standard instructions given previously.

2.6.3

To upgrade from any previous 2.6.x release, simply upload the files inside the attached zip file over existing files. After this is done, run http://mybaseurl/force_upgrade.php.

Note: before upgrading a registered 2.6.x site you should check to make sure that your upgrade period is still active. If if is not you should not upload sources/version.php.
