Hmm… I've got an issue with understanding this one:

This following addons are installed that depend on this addon: <strong>{1}</strong>. You should install these before continuing, although you can continue without them at your own risk.

From ADDON_WARNING_PRESENT_DEPENDENCIES

Why would install them if they are installed already? O_o  As well I don't quite catch why the current addon would be installed at own risk if it does not depend on them but they depend on it?

You've found a bug there in the text. It should say "you should uninstall".

Heh, it's tough  Though I am moving slowly. I will save two most pieces of text (global.ini and ocf.ini) to weekends and other ones may be done in alphabetical order eventually.

I need a bit of help now to not being a "translating monkey with a grenade" There are obviously few things that should not be translated (I don't mean template variables as they are easily determined). Things like directories, filenames, database related names and so on are understandable basically. But it seems there are others - I occasionally meet things like (site:donwload:search) in terms of zones or URLs or pages. Should I translate them?
To be short. Is there an easy global way to determine things that should not be translated like variable names, internal parameters which the system would accept in Eglish only and so on? I fear I have "translated" few things already

Btw, translation process really helps to understand the cms structure and the way it works much better, heheh…

Hi,

There are very few strings that are read by computers somehow. I can only think of now SPACER_POST (because it needs to be similar to another string), and any that are in lower case (e.g. charset).

With terms like 'zone', it's up to you to decide what you think is best :). Obviously people coming to the forum might get confused and not see the same words, but then again, a translated word is easier to understand.

Possible text bug in English version, file critical-errors

I have translated strings related to "stack trace" and noticed that when talking about staff messages it uses "stace trace" in few places that is probably an error.

Another bug?
in ocf file:
You tried to log in as a member member, but you entered the incorrect password. For security reasons, the password will not be the same as on the ocProducts website. To find out what the password is, use the <a href="{1}">password finder tool</a>.

Seems unnecessary double "member" or am I get something wrong? :)

Huh, it comes close to finish ocf file and the rest seems much easier (global is done already). If everything goes as before I should be done in near time.

Thanks. Obviously we need to do some dismembering ;).

This should be "remote member". Actually the string isn't currently used as we disabled the feature before v4 went final.

Excellent work :).

Hmm… in the custom-comcode file:

There is no graphics renderer hook named “<tt></tt>”.

Don't we get a missing {parameter} here? Or it should be so, i.e. blank?

This should be:

permissions file:

Unfortunately you do not have Javascript support enabled in your web browser, which means this advanced editor can not function. You are not being redirected to a more primitive editor for page permissions; zone-level and category-level permissions need to be edited on the resource's own edit screens.

Should it be: You are now being redirected?

Thanks.

Great :) Eventually I got close to finish the raw translation - there are less than 1000 strings to do now and I hope to finish it before weekends.

Chris, I am rephrasing the question from samuraich:
When creating catalogue, it displays in breadcumbs as url part but not a catalogue name (as seen on screens). How can one fix it to display url part in actual URLs and catalogue name in breadcumbs?

samuraich: I'm sorry I can't help you directly yet as I am just translating for now and have almost no time to do any actual work on ocPortal projects of mine. But I hope Chris will be able to help :)
Btw, it's better to write in English here as this page has character encoding of western ISO that displays russian letters warped. It's yet understandable but by all means English, even bad, would be better. I'll send you my personal contact over pm so you can get in touch with me directly for native communications :)
