You might notice a few odd things while it settles in. Particularly some very old comment topics are being recreated, as we removed an old naming scheme from quite a few years ago. So please check the date before replying to any of those. You'll notice some of the new ocPortal features on the forum, such as improved spacer posts, notifications, and threaded commenting (turned on for the website comments forum - not quite working yet). I noticed some new members have received multiple welcome emails since updating, I am currently debugging this. If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource. |

When do you want us to start reporting glitches, and where do we post them?

a) Clicked on Topics with unread post b) Selected a range of old system posts that (i.e. ticked check box to right of message) c) Selected Mark as read from Topic/poll actions: Result: Doesn't refresh the list of unread topics, but looks like it is displaying the forum root.

I don't know if this is v8 specific, but I've never had this type of problem attaching images before you upgraded.

Clicking on "whisper" from my post, then selecting "private topic" throws an error. I shouldn't be able to whisper to myself should I?

Over all though, looking good! And at first I didn't notice this but this is a welcome change = Quick Reply button changed to Make Post. Much better IMO!

Like ocPortal? Want to thank Chris and gang somehow? Then help out in the chat room! It really needs your help! Just open it in a tab everytime you open your web browser, and when you hear a "ding", check it out!

Noticable lag on loading full editior (saw when editing this post), but might be from first load. I like the fact that the site comcode things are part of the editor now… but sort of miss the large easy-to-distinguish buttons, if you know what I mean. A second edit: Shouldn't the "edited by mythus at such and such time/date" thingy appear on the bottom of an edited post? Maybe it takes me leaving a reason now? Seems odd to me.

Oh my! ocPortal 8 is infected with typo demons!!!!! LOL sorry about that Sholzy, I'm real good at doing that. And I guess either you are just awesome or just first. Whatever the case, it looks odd to me.

BUG!: I got past the adding attachment, which was difficult since the "choose file/upload" button was replaced with a large light blue box. In fact, the attachment was a screenshot of this issue. However, past that, I could not hit the "New Post", "Preview" or anything else in the site screen. Instead, I had to refresh the page.

Likes are built on top of ratings. A like is a 5 star rating, a dislike is a 1 star rating. But it also says who did the liking (which may be buggy looking at the above).
This hasn't changed, it only defaults the 'show as edited' option as on if it's been a while since the post was made. Lots of reports above, will all be checked out. If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation.
