That's disappointing. You're using the plupload addon which won't be bundled, and it is probably running in Flash mode currently. The client this was developed for had problems on one server, but I think they went when we moved hosting, so it's a strange one. I could never reproduce it. If you want to experiment you can change this line in themes/default/templates_custom/JAVASCRIPT_PLUPLOAD.tpl: Code
runtimes : 'flash,silverlight,gears,browserplus,html5',
If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource. |

I changed the order putting, html5 first and have successfully uploaded a png, mp4 and pdf. Code
runtimes : 'html5,flash,silverlight,gears,browserplus',
All seems to work well and I am once again enjoying this hassle-free uploader. I'm going to test out loading a large PDF and mp4 file just to make sure. Bob |

I must have looked for that a dozen times and didn't "see" it. When I read the description just now I definitely remember reading it recently (like yesterday). At any rate, I like the Google +1 button. Bob EDIT: Does the FB button only show if the FB add-on is installed and active? It shows in my current site even though I long ago uninstalled the FB add-on. Could be just detritus, I suppose, although it does work (maybe because I am always logged into FB).

This seems to be the same problem as in prior releases. Once I've added my FBcredentials, I am unable to logout of my site. If I hit the "Logout" link, it goes to the logout confirmation screen: But if I return to the home page by clicking the logo, I am still logged in: Bob |

How do you control what gets syndicated to Facebook? I expected to see a syndication setting for individual galleries, catalogs and forums but couldn't find anything. Bob |

The new activities feature looks very promising to me. It allows you to create a block that shows what people have been doing on your site. The block can be filtered several ways including by member. There is a companion block that allows a user to post a "status' message much like other social sites. I currently manually post to my news forum when I add new material to the site. I'm hoping that this might replace the need for the manual posts by creating a block filtered for my member ID. The main block has RSS/Atom feed capability to make syndication to other sites easy. I curious to see if there will be direct syndication to Facebook and Twitter when those add-ons are installed (and how one controls what gets syndicated per my question above). Bob |

As with v7 it is only news and calendar events, although there are now checkboxes for these when you add them so that's a bit better. However for users, all user activity is syndicated if they've hooked in their activities on the wall to facebook. So you can either:
It would seem a bit nicer if you could control to syndicate anything, but we decided it would not really work so well, bloat up the code/UI, and take up a lot of development time. If a site has user submitted content, then you'd have a situation where you'd either need to grant the users permission to potentially spam the Facebook page, or you'd have that user generated content not coming through. ocPortal supports OpenGraph, so you can just paste a link manually onto Facebook and it will show nicely anyway - that's pretty easy to work into your process. If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource. |

You probably have either corrupt cookies or haven't waited for the page to finish loading (it needs to communicate with Facebook via Javascript which runs when the page fully finishes loading).
