Weekly chat meeting

I was wondering if anyone may be interested in setting up a time to meet up in chat once a week?

It could be a good way for active members to get together and bounce ideas off eachother. And for newcomers to the community to catch us all together and pick our brains.

I know it could be a little tricky finding a time that works for everyone being that we are all in so many different time zones. But I think it is worth a try anyways.

If your interested post a time, your time zone and what day would work best for you. We can go with what works for the majority.

I'm pretty flexi with my time (midday UTC to 3 or 4 a.m. the next morning), so I'd be prepared to wait and see what time is chosen and try to fit it into my not-so-busy day!

I'm interested. Mondays or Tuesdays from 7am till 12 pm central time. I think that is -6 UTC making it 1 am till 6 am if I'm right.

Wow, I never realized just how many time zones there are around the world. I found a neat little tool that could be helpful to us.

This is a great initiative Brian and I would like to participate, but I really suck at typing in chat gatherings, so I wouldn’t be very useful and comfortable with such a venue. I would prefer using a live voice tool such as Teamspeak, popular with gamers the world over to meet online.

I'm UTC, but I'm happy to work with the majority.

Great idea. I never know in advance when I can, but if I know the time it's happening I will be there as long it is not at night most of the time.
There where times I was so much online and I typed so much that I needed a bucket of water to cool the keyboard  . Those times are past but I still like to chat so once in a while. So see you guys ….

I've been popping in on Tuesdays for the past two weeks now, and I don't see anything really going on (with the exception of Chris helping someone.. man he's busy). So is this thing a no go?

I didn't realise we had settled on a time slot.

The time wasn't set but I believed we started something…..!?

Tuesday seems to be the day. How bout we just try and make an extra effort to have chat open while we are online Tuesdays and see what time there is the most of us online for now?

I've just started building a musicians community site with ocPortal, (its fantastic (ocPortal that is)). what time is the meeting on tuesdays?.

Im a retired I.T. and CISCO lecturer, but new to comcode and the real ins and outs of ocPortal. But Ill participate as much as poss and try to help.
