Just noticed that the "Submit to Yahoo Blog" entry is still in the admin to-do list after upgrading to 7.1.5. I thought this was supposed to be removed:

7.1.5 change log said

Removed Yahoo search engine submission task off default checklist (now defunct)

Maybe there was another task which was removed but this task goes nowhere.

It's part of install code, so not a retroactive change for upgraders. You can delete it manually.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

For anyone else wanting to delete this, it can be found in the ocp*_customtasks table.

Remember to clear the template cache after removing the entry from the database.

Should just be a little delete icon next to it...

Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
