I have just recently discovered ocPortal and found that it has every thing I need and more for developing my "Musicians Community" site.

The site is hosted with Fasthost UK which I discovered has a one click installer. (its brilliant).

I am a retired I.T. and CISCO Instructor and when I have the site built and running, I will whole heartedly pass the word as well as advertise for you on my site.

Keep up the good work.

I upgraded from 7.1 beta1, and, after fully successful upgrade, the new version still calls itself beta1 in the version info....

yes, caches cleared…yes, after clearing again with the other cache clearing tools, AND going into the database and clearing the cache from there, it still says it.

Perhaps since there was so little change from 7.1 Beta1 to 7.1 - ? I dunno. I'm not bothering to update the rest of my sites yet.

Perhaps something to do with your MSN setup?

This is because I messed up the upload of the manual installation package, from which the upgrades built. All your upgrade did was extract data.ocp to your site.

Whoops, sorry about that. If you try again it will work.

Will confirm, but assume if you say its fixed, it is. OCPortal rules!

I confirm, full joy achieved.

small bug report with Firefox

Avatar
I think the following started after upgrade to 7.1. Using Firefox, in the Members list page if I type some name letters in the Username field, a list of possible member names no longer comes up. Instead I get this error:

18: e is undefined
http://www.saivasiddhanta.org/themes/Saiva_Siddhanta_Church/templates_cached/EN/javascript_ajax_people_lists.js

This was happening in Firefox 4, and now Firefox 5 which I just updated to.
The error does not occur in Safari or Chrome when I tested. So I guess it's specific to Firefox for some reason.

Avatar
Sorry about that. Safari/Chrome implement the unofficial events system IE has, whilst Firefox remains pure, so I have a bad habit of missing these kinds of errors since I skipped to Chrome. Must remember to test in Firefox more. I have uploaded the fixes for you already. Also attached here.

Thank you for uploading fixes. Unfortunately it's not working yet, even after clearing several caches. Still getting same error message.

Sorry about that, in addition there was an incompatibility in the templating we did for you, which I have now resolved.

There are too many online users to list.
