Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

This is a spacer post for an ocPortal comment topic. The content this topic relates to: May Beta-countdown

Cool stuff!

I'm assuming there'll be a nice upgrader, but will we have to upgrade our current builds to 2.6.2 before upgrading to 3.0?

Obviously upgrading to a BETA product isn't recommended, but I'm eager ;)

can't wait for the Awards

Tell me that vBulletin 3.5 can be imported or integrated.

And that Catalogues can be named something other than Catalogues, and Root can be removed. Custom fields are friendlier to create, and the associated table can be  browsed in a TableView.

Hi juegel,

I did some analysis of the vBulletin 3.5 database changes and as far as I can tell, ocPortal should support it. That said, we don't have a licence for vBulletin 3.5-final, only RC1. If you come across any problems we'd be more than happy to help you resolve them for free.

I can't confirm or deny the presence of those features, but thanks for listing them for us!

Will this work with 2.1.5 of invision?
I know the old one worked with 2.1.3.

Hi Amy,

If our previous versions worked with 2.1.3 as you say, almost certainly this one will work with 2.1.5, as nothing has been removed from our importers or forum drivers and those IPB versions will be almost identical.

Does IPB 2.1.4 work with OCP 2.6.2 and will it work wit v3? Cant wait for this btw

We don't track each point release of each supported forum, but these releases are almost always bug fixes that don't involve database changes and hence are unlikely to have become incompatible.
