How does one use the Support Credits Add-on?

Avatar
I tried to install via add-ons panel in a 9.0.6 installation of mine but I got corrupt tar file error.

So I have a couple questions:

Does this require that an installation of Mantis already exists on the webserver?

Does one simply upload all the files to webserver and everything need will be ready to go are will there be a need to do some code customizations or such?

Does this create the tracker feature like found here on ocPortal.com where by someone canpurchase support credits for features listed in the tracker?

Does it provide the templates for the list of sponsored/unspnsored features as found here (ie not the mantis list but the ocportal pretty formatted lists)?

Yes & No. It needs a Mantis DB in the same DB as ocPortal. The /tracker/config_inc.php file is designed to do a settings include from ocPortal's /info.php.

It's a code dump of what we use here, and not really designed for general use. I'm not sure if it would run out of the box, although in theory the modules define the new tables, CPFs, etc. The main purpose of us having this is so that the code in our overall platform can be maintained easily (e.g. if we rename a function in ocP, the ocPortal.com platform will be updated because our search&replace will cover it).

Yes, this is a miniblock, main_mantis_tracker.

This is in the ocportalcom addon, the ocpcom_featuretray miniblock (all the data is actually hard-coded within that mini-block).

This addon very likely actually has a dependency on ocportalcom.
