Nose to the grindstone

As discussed previously, Composr/v10 is a relaunch, not just a pile of new features. One big part of this is refreshing all our documentation.

Some of my staff recently spent about a month of man hours between them re-doing all our documentation and addon screenshots, which is about 500 images, including about 30 schematics.

I've just spent most of the last few days resolving outstanding issues related to this, and now it's all committed to our git…

Oh, and for documentation relaunch 2 big things are forthcoming, based on months of work from my team…

  1. Launching a whole new series of tutorials. These are written, pending review and rationalisation.
  2. Major clarity improvements to the tutorials. We have internally written a ~50 page document going through all our tutorials, with improvement suggestions – I'll be reviewing all that.
If you want further review assistance of some of the start up documents and by lay users and dabblers in IT we could arrange to pay at our cost a couple of our editors / contributors to review layouts and provide feedback which I can review prior to sending back.

I absolutely feel for you and the developers assigned to re-writing these documents as it is a monumental and thankless task. Its never enough, never fast enough and is subject to continuous change.

You should also consider context sensitive help screens and overlays rather than huge manuals as a modern approach to deployment. V10 has some good features in that regard.

It is really amazing how much work is involved in all this stuff. Especially while you continue the core business, older version support and keep everyone happy.

l believe the API is working again (was fixed about 3 months ago, which seems about the same time as you decided it was broken :P).
Yeah. Unfortunately the v1 API is still gone, and implementing a v2 seems unlikely unless someone wants to contribute an update (which would be happily accepted of course). isn't as prominent as it was, lots of annoyed users with their recent redesign, no longer having a streaming service, being eclipsed by Apple Music.

There are too many online users to list.
