…I already had an app set up so filled in the details for that but I did not have a page set up for it yet. So I left the page id blank, saved it and went and set up a page. Went back to setup to ad the the page id and got this error.
I did an adminzone search for "page". Facebook page id in setup came up and brought me directly to where I needed to go to add it and I am all set up now
In the future, please either ask your question in an appropriate topic or create a new one. Your question has nothing to do with Facebook support and makes it hard to find for future reference as well and taking this thread off-course.
Bob
I also concur your second paragraph!
It really is funny how some people can interperet text in different contexts sometimes. I think your please and response were quite polite and certainly a lot more polite than the reaction.
"abnormally abusive"? Opposed to what, "normally abusive"?
Actually, When I first read his response, I thought, "lighten up on the newbie, Bob", since his post had an aggressive stance compared to most of his informational posts. But now when I read it, it doesn't appear as aggressive as I first thought it to be. Bob's reply was direct and to the point.
Bob has always been helpful and mostly respectful to everyone. He has done a lot for this forum and has sponsored (or helped sponsored) several new features. But, that doesn't mean we can't mess with him!
I'd love to know if the suggestion at the link worked for our guest.

header I mean skin. heheBob
Account link?
My account is linked via facebook connect but i cant see where my profile is linked?
I'd suggest adding a custom profile field and letting the members fill it in if they want to. v8 has such a field by default now, for new installs.
Ollie
I asked in this thread because I thought it was tied in somehow. Obviously I was wrong. "Thank you" for the link, however.
What was that you were saying about being polite?
More importantly, did the suggestion at the link work for you?
Bob
LIKE - downloads
How do I implement the "New Facebook 'Like button' block (linked into the main_screen_actions block by default)" so it'll also be in each download? I'd like each download the option to be LIKE'd.
Thanks in advance!
All I had to add was: {$BLOCK,block=main_facebook_like}
It's more fun when you play with it to figure things out. Good learning experience too.
Did a quick check of this again, this is the comment topic for:
" ocPortal files (addons and releases) » Addons » Version 8.0 » Third Party Integration » Facebook support
"
So I presume the above poster installed an old version.
The v9 version should work correctly.
