Well-settled

Hi,

My topmenu no longer works after upgrading.

It drops down when I hover over, and underlines too, but nothing happens when I click.

I'm guessing it's me not understanding the upgrade instructions, as I was under the impression if I upgraded without doing anything it would simply replace my themed menu with an unthemed one. Clearly I forgot to delete a file or something!

Chris said:

"In 4.1/4.2 beta, the templates received an <a> tag passed into them. In 4.2 RC1 they receive a URL and generate their own <a> tag internally. Really you'll need to delete your menu templates and go back to the drawing board."

How do I delete a menu template after upgrading to 4.2? And how do I identify a menu template?

In my templates_custo folder I have:

NEWS_PIECE_SUMMARY

ATTACHMENT

BLOCK_MAIN_IOTD

BLOCK_NO_ENTRIES

BLOCK_SIDE_CALENDAR

BLOCK_SIDE_CALENDAR_LISTING

FOOTER

HEADER

Is it header that I need to delete? And then do I need to clear the cache or something?

Help!

It sounds like what I said was wrong for your situation. I'll get back to you.

I thought you'd modified some templates, but actually no the new dropdown template was just broken. Fix attached.

Wow, 2hour response time is unheard of.

Even for paid support with a platinum partner it's usually the defacto 4 hour response.

Amazing support ocP!

ocPortal_Noob,

That is why in another thread I jokingly said that I would not have a problem paying for this. It was a joke, but also I did pay for mine before it went open source and I don't mind at all. So I was kind of being sarcastic with Chris, but it was just to indicate how amazing these guys are.

And not just the developing team either. I've gotten quick responses from just members as well. Think this is a good group all around.
