Hi,

Have you tried using IE's developer tools to 'inspect' the area. You can point&click to find out what part of the CSS is involved.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for replying, I was wondering if there was a global code for the text and the title bars that I could change to save me from changing lots of different parts of the code.

Sure thing, Josy. Find these in your global.css and hack away to your heart's content …

Code (css)

.main_page_title {
        background:url("../../../../themes/default/images//underline.gif") no-repeat
        scroll 30px 100% transparent;
        display:table;
        font-size:1.8em;
        font-weight:normal;
        min-width:300px;
        padding-right:30px;
}

#global_zones {
        background:url("../../../../themes/default/images//zone_gradiant.png") repeat-x scroll 0 0 #426AA9;
        color:#EDF2F9;
        font-weight:bold;
        height:16px;
        margin-top:60px;
        padding:7px 5px 6px 0;
        text-align:right;
}

Don't forget to save it in your 'new' theme folder and DO NOT edit the 'default' theme.

Good luck!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Thank you very much Fletch, that helped me a lot :)

Now I seem to be having trouble changing the colour of the text, do you know if there is a code in the global.css for that too?

You'll find the text colouring under .re_body in global.css, BUT be CAREFUL as it changes the text colour GLOBALLY (as you'd expect).

Trial-and-error is the order of the day.

If you use the 'Firebug' add-on in Firefox you should be able to inspect each of the elements individually and then decide how, or rather what, you want to change.
