I love the new look was wondering when it will be available for download?

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

He did indeed.

I can't promise we'll release this theme, mainly because we don't actually currently have redistribution rights to the marble.

It's not off-the-cards, but if it does happen we'd need to put a bit of time into it.

We do have another surprise coming along. It's not as big as the new site, but it's another step forward for us. It might be we can cross this with something similar to what you're looking for :).

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Oh ok no worries I was thinking if you could not make it available I will figure out a way to make my own version of it.
I would use gimp and its textures for the sides, then have that shadow effect on it.

The actual 'theme' of this new site is actually quite simple. There aren't a whole lot of CSS and template changes to do it :). Even all the animations, they pretty much draw on things ocPortal can already do. Most of the work actually went into the individual pages, which were custom designed and built.

Ah I like the blocks on the main page having all the side blocks like that would be neat and the middle blocks are open so do not really look like blocks.

This is basically what I have been trying to accomplish. Using the new template as an example how would I add the two elements outer_body_shadow_overlay and Body_innner. The part I don't understand is adding the div tags to the header.tpl.

The problem I'm having with the present global css is I'm unable to get the lower right panel to show a background color as my background image over rights this area.

Hmm I think there was a thread around some place that said how to do it.
I am not sure off the top of my head how to do it.

I think it's the top_level_wrap around line 267 in global.css.

Excellent, glad I could help. I know I did the same for an OCP3 site, but couldn't remember whether I had added the element or it was in there to start…I tend to have a high vacancy rate in the brain cell motel ;)
