Positioning issue

Hey All!

I'm trying to modify the default appearance of the side_menu block, but I'm struggling hard. I'm trying to move the light blue body to the right so it lines up center with the darker blue header. I've tried almost every CSS tag under the class .standardbox_main_classic, but no luck. Any thoughts?

TIA!

Off the top of my head I think there are about 3 or 4 standardbox_main_classic in the css.
What are they all set at?

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Hey Ami!

Code

.no_stbox_padding .standardbox_main_classic {
   padding: 0;
}

Code

.standardbox_main_classic {
   padding: 3px;
   right: 0px;
}

Code

.standardbox_links_classic a:link, .standardbox_title_panel a:link, .standardbox a:link, .standardbox_main_classic a:link {
   color: #123d7b; /* {$,wizard, 73% (seed sat_to 85) + 27% !W/B} */
}

Code

.standardbox_links_classic a:visited, .standardbox_title_panel a:visited, .standardbox a:visited, .standardbox_main_classic a:visited {
   color: #113871; /* {$,wizard, 67% (seed sat_to 85) + 33% !W/B} */
}

Code

.standardbox_links_classic a:hover, .standardbox_title_panel a:hover, .standardbox a:hover, .standardbox_main_classic a:hover {
   color: #9C202F; /*{$,wizard, 100% a.hover}*/
}
I've also tried muckin' with .standardbox_t_panel as well, however, that moves the entire block, header and all. It seems like the header and body are not separate entities.

I like the look you are going for.
I will keep looking into this for you though.
Maybe Chris can answer both this and the question I just posted. :)

I made a template that works how ever it does disable the close side blocks option.

Code

<div class="standardbox_wrap_curved">
{+START,IF,{$BROWSER_MATCHES,ie_old}}
   {$,This IE-alternative is needed because IE can't handle the alpha blended background corners; ocProducts at one point had a CSS positioned alternative, but IE randomly misrendered it}

Have you tried using the 'Inspect' tool on the Firefox Firebug extension? It's the easiest way to work out what to change.

@Ami: I'll give you template code a go, thanks. Also, thanx for the tip in your other post (regarding the image embed in panel_right) from which I've created a plan 'Z' (read: Total Hack!! ;) ) in case I can't get this to go. See attachment.

@Chris: yes, Firebug and Inspect are fully locked and loaded (the best tool ever created LOL). Am I correct in that there are at least 3 containers for the side blocks: 1 wrapper, 1 header, 1 body?

Yes, bigger and move "Main Menu" up a wee bit. Here is the post I was referring to: View topic: Template question and issue with the side block - ocPortal.com

This may point you in the right direction…

Code

.standardbox_main_classic {
margin:0 auto;
padding:3px;
width:80%;
background:red;
}

Actually that's too sweeping. Let's add something new, more pin-pointed…

Code

.standardbox_wrap_panel .standardbox_main_classic {
margin:0 auto;
width:80%;
background:red;
}
