I revisited my old blue and grey theme, revised it to look much nicer and then ran it through the upgrader to make sure it works well with v7.1.

I added it to the community downloads a while ago and have since done a little more to it. I have attached the updated file to this post. I hope someone enjoys it and finds it useful :) And maybe the attached file can replace the other when someone gets time to validate it?

It does work with the theme wizard to change the colors but since I changed a lot of the original colors that the theme wizard produced for the base I started with it produces some odd results. Something I am aware of now and will try not to do in future themes.

You can see it in my gallery pictured as a fixed width and it is also demoed in a zone on my site as a fluid design

Brian,

This Blue & Grey Theme looks great with the new ocPortal 7 and CSS3 box-shadow feature.

Well Done!

I am starting to wonder if there is something wrong with the way I added it to the community downloads....I added it two weeks ago and it is still not validated?

Ah, looks like we missed the validation email – just done this now.

Do you think we should just let people submit without validation? There is currently no particular review process, although if something looked suspicious by a user I didn't recognise, I might investigate deeper.

If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource.

Thanks Chris!

That is a tough call on validating submissions….maybe not allow everyone to bypass validation but allow certain user groups to bypass it?

That way if they made it into that user group odds are good that they are a contributing member with good intentions.

I agree with Brian.

I was faced with the same issue for my website. I figured that if members had accumulated enough points to achieve a certain usergroup, odds are their submissions will be legit.

Yes, I join Brian and BobS!

This would also make it easier to follow-up on the submissions and edit them with improvements overtime.
