Having issues Theming

Hi All.

Firstly let me apoligise if this has been answered elsewhere but I can't seem to find any posts that answer the issues I am experiencing.

I currently have a holding page set up for my website and after coming across OCPortal and the great features it offers, I am looking to skin OCPortal to reflect my current site design.

The problem is that my site uses container tags and for some reason when I try and add the html into OCPortal to modify the theme it just doesn't seem to want to work. It's also missing off some features such as a menu which is dynamically driven.

What I am wanting to do is make my OCPortal look like Welcome to Funki Baby but am just really struggling. Can anyone offer me any practical advice on how to resolve my issues?

Hello FunkiBaby and Happy New Year!

If you are familiar with XHTML and CSS, I suggest that you first download this Special Theme to take out some ocPortal styles and simplify templates to give a cleaner start for grafting your own code inside ocPortal. Get it HERE.

Than, follow this excellent Video Tutorial by Allen Ellis: Themes 201 - brand new themes
The above Theme is used in the tutorial as a base. Allen goes on to show how prebuilt XHTML and CSS can easily be integrated into ocPortal.

Have fun!:)
