I know this is a really amatuer ish question but How do i add a background to ocportal. I tried to add one by going to manage themes and adding/uploading one myself but it wont show in the background. Why and how is the correct/easy way to do it?

Go to Admin Zone → Style → Manage themes → Choose → Edit CSS: global.css and find:
      background: url('{$IMG;,outer_background}');
and change it.

On my site I use 3 layered images to get the background I want, and it goes something like this …
      background: url('{$IMG;,page_gl_stitch}') left top no-repeat fixed, url('{$IMG;,page-gr}') left top repeat-x fixed, url('{$IMG;,page}') top left repeat, #e1d9e5;
The CSS in ocPortal often uses 'Comcode' and it pays to use the syntax that the developers have used in their CSS.

Your usage will vary, of course, but remember that the order that you call the images is important. Simply put; the first one called lays at the bottom, and the last one called is stacked uppermost.

Good luck, and if you run into any problems, give a shout in here …!!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
