I am getting really confused about the top menu.  I cannot see how to delete it.  I have tried deleting it under Menu Management but it just gives me an error saying menu not found.

What I really want is to have the menu bar hidden for guest views but show it when logged in as admin.  Is this possible?

The top menu is the Zone menu, and the code for it can be found in the GLOBAL_HTML.tpl template. Deleting the menu doesn't delete the reference in the template. You could edit that template to remove the menu reference, or you could surround the menu code with if_in_group comcode to hide the menu from guests, or you could just edit/recreate the Zone Menu using the Menu Editor to hide/show individual links to different groups using the options there (which is probably the easiest way to do what you want without editing templates).

Thanks,  thats really helpful

I have managed to hide the menu completely by commenting out as follows:

However,  I am getting a blue line where the menu was which I think is something to do with float_surrounder

How can I get rid of this (or change its colour to white)?

The url of the website is www.alcestersingers.co.uk/ocportal

Your images aren't showing up but I did look at your site and I can see the issue. Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction but I am not really familar with the css and theming side of things. Pretty sure it's an easy fix though.
