for the most part any page that does not have a edit page link at the bottom has a template that can be edited by going to your adminzone>style>manage themes and then click edit template for your current theme and scroll down the list to the c's and you will see all the templates for the catalogues

 I'm not real big on building skins as of right now but if you would like some custom graphics done for your site I am more than willing as long as I have the time. -\-PhrozenStudios-/-

This is one of the index-page templates. It's best to use the 'template tree' tool to find out what – it's available from the drop down list in your login box.

Yes its very well made.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Hi,

I think you might find this easier if you read up a bit on HTML and CSS. What you have there isn't entirely wrong but it's a bit muddled. You've got a CSS background applied to an empty div (which will take up no space as it has no contents). You either need to:
  • use the HTML img element
  • apply the background to a div which has a width and height greater or equal to that of the image (unnecessarily hard really - unless you want to put something over the image)

For the img element it would go something like…

Code

<img src="{$IMG*,site_images/youth_sg}" />

(this assumes your 'huigin' theme is being used at the point this HTML is displayed as – if you use a different theme, you must have the image in that theme also)

To Chris, i actually tried it out in Dreamweaver 8 and it still works, but it turns out it doesn't work in the ocPortal. Well, i actually get it done by creating a new div class in the global.css and apply background-image, setting the width and height to it. And then on this particular page, i called <div id="<smth>" ></div> and it works even without any content. Thanks once again for the direction to which page to edit. I believe the above method couldnt not work is because of the syntax used in ocPortal.

Hi,

Is there an equivalent of cs_own_template in version 4?

Hi,

Yes, and it's automatic.
If you take any catalogue template with the name 'DEFAULT' in it, and copy it with 'DEFAULT' changed to the codename of your catalogue, then it will apply that copy to your catalogue.
