Hi, I may have misunderstood, but I thought I recalled seeing downloadable OCPortal themes advertised. I tried the Add-Ons directory but there's no themes in the 3.x folders. Are there any available for download? I'm looking for examples to help me get past the rather steep learning curve I seem to be on.

Thanks for any help!

There aren't any current downloadable themes. However, amichan will start to make themes once again after ocPortal v4 comes out. The best advice I can offer is to read the tutorials in the Docs Section.

I will admit, I was clueless as to how to theme ocPortal, but after reading tutorials and asking for support via the forums, I've managed to make a pretty nice theme for my site.

Yes I am making some.
I was going to wait until v4 but I started working on some before hand.
My site does not exactly look that good or as good as I want it do to the drop down having bad issues with the css.
Do to the drop downs giving me a hard time I am going to write a css from scratch that way I know the drop down code that it tries to pull from the css which I have been unable to find will not conflict any more. At least I am hoping so.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Thank you both for your replies. I am working away at customizing pages, but had hoped to find at least a sample from the developers (or a developer). It appears that "customizing" OCPortal is in reality more of a redesign effort. Since pages are not only Comcode but also Tempcode, those pages must be developed with care and a lot of understanding of Tempcode. Then it's necessary to hand modify the basic CSS of the site files, which of course causes a ripple effect across the site.
I'm attempting to overcome some of this by finding where the CSS files are called and adding in a custom one for my changes now, but a developer created sample theme with a good, clear walkthrough of how the customizations are applied to OCPortal would save a lot of time for us all, I think.
