Having trouble location CSS code

I'm not using the default theme for the Content Management system. Just wanting to change the font color to white. Can't seem to locate this box.

It looks like this theme is being rather aggressive in defining a black background. I'd use Firebug/whatever to identify where this style is coming from and define it in a better way.

I ran a test with a dark Theme Wizard theme (put &keep_theme_seed=222222&keep_theme=default onto the end of the URL) and it was okay. So maybe do whatever that is doing (again you can use a tool like Firebug to identify what the styles are set on).

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I haven't seen that screen before. How did you get to it?

In any case, I think its coming from: /data/ckeditor/contents.css .

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

That screen comes up when you submit a link or a picture, like in the Forums area or submitting a Link for a Link Exchange.

I have been using the tools of ocPortal, Inspector of Chrome, and Firebug of Firefox Chris. I am just having a hard time locating this box menu.

Found it (kinda/sorta):

.cke_skin_kama *, .cke_skin_kama a:hover, .cke_skin_kama a:link, .cke_skin_kama a:visited, .cke_skin_kama a:active
{

background
none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent

No "kinda/sorta" about it, that's definitely it.

Hehe.. I had only discovered it.. still had to find the file.

I'm still doing it the old fashioned way.. searched for the string in my folder.. found it.

FTP to the folder, edit the file.

But I think there might be a better way…  Firefox + Firebug + Web Developer.

Came across this link: Firefox + Firebug + Web Developer Add-on = Easily Edit and Save CSS on Live Sites | LemonLime Designs

Didn't test it out, but looks like it definitely made CSS editing a whole lot easier.
