Is there a way to create a zone theme based off an existing modified theme?

Case in point I have a fixed width main_theme with a bit of heavy CSS work.

When I create a new zone I want to create a new theme for said zone but base it off my main_theme and just modify the global_top and modify a few of the CSS colors.

It always defaults to ocp_default theme. Is there any chance we could get an option when creating a new zone theme of which theme we would like to base it off of?

Or maybe somebody could give me some quick short cuts on how to do this with out going through all the work again :(

Hey Sledge! Should be a simple matter of creating the theme and dropping your mods into the appropriate *_custom directory in the new theme.

Hey SD,

Yeah It just struck me about a half hour ago. Simply export the theme I want to use and re-name it for the new zone. Unfortunately I was unable to find out if this works because on import I'm getting a server500 error.

I'll give your method a try.

Thanks.

If it comes to it, just copy the actual theme directory on the server :).

Hi Chris,

Just a follow up on this.

Created a new zone and copied all folders from main_theme over. While it worked to a degree it did not copy the title_gradiant or zone_gradient properly it still relied on the /default.

Also all logo's were still default.

While not a huge issue it would still be very convenient to be able to select A zone you would like to copy verbatim.

Ah right, I forgot to mention this. I take it you'd overridden these images in your new theme?

I am not sure if this is helpful for me to mention or not, but you don't have to have different themes if you want different logos in different zones.
The default logo is a theme image named logos/-logo, but you can actually go and add new logos for different zones. E.g. If I had 'myzone', I could add a theme image logos/myzone-logo. This stops me having to make a new theme for myzone if all I want to do is change the logo.
I said I'm not sure if it helps because I think you're wanting to change more than just the logos here.
