I'm no CSS expert. Anyway, I have dug through everything I can think of to figure out which text-align would be the right one to change so that the words in the menus would be centered in their boxes instead of left-anchored. Can someone that knows, let me know where? you can look at www.selfpubmag.com to see exactly what I'm trying to center. These are top or dropdown menus, in the panel_top. Thanks in advance!

Just rushing out to do some shopping, but this is a quick stab at your issue.

Find in global.css and add the bit in red:
.menu_type__embossed a, .menu_type__top a, .menu_type__dropdown a.toplevel_link {
display: block;
outline: 0;
text-align: center;
}

Should fix your issue!
