when following tutorial about changing logo and

I am following v_themes101.flv I get through the add -logo and add header_bg just fine. But when it comes to edit .TPL files I do not have a header.tpl file no matter how I search for it.  I used theme wizard to create a new theme for everything but CMS adminzone. it gave me my theme. but there is not a header.tpl file when you go to edit templates.

HEADER.tpl was deprecated in a previous version, probably v.8, but certainly in v.9. The 'themes 101' tute is probably still referring to older releases (wild guess), but I haven't looked at it recently, so I can't say for sure.

I think you should be looking for HTML_HEADER.tpl.

If that isn't what you want, ask again in here and somebody more conversant with the latest release will be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck.

Hey Fetch,
I looked out html_Header.tpl and I don't think it is the right file. the video is editing a header.tpl specifically a open body tag and the html_header seems only concerned with google fonts, meta tags with No open body tag.  Also I searched my whole directory structure and didn't find a header.tpl.

Thanks for your thoughts.... maybe there is a different tpl file to edit.
I know I am new to this but somethings should match up......lol

I am currently working on a version 9.x.x theme and should be able to release it fairly soon - as soon as I have tidied up the CSS 'n' images 'n' stuff!

Whether it would be to your liking is a totally different ball game.

Take a look at Orange (must remember to open the site), but I warn you it is very 'BUSY'.

The idea is to use it as a 'guide' for a 101-type tute for version 9.x.x themes. However, I've added tons of stuff that the average user wouldn't want on his/her site. That is easily fixed; much easier to remove stuff than to add it.

Take a look, and since it hasn't seen the light of day, if you want it, you can have it as soon as I've tidied up the files …

I like it! It looks like customizing it would be pretty straight forward. Let me know when you are done tidy'n it up I would be glad to use it for a bases. I would even give you credit for the base template on my footer of course if you would like.

Naaaaaah!

If you use it, and customize it, then it is yours to claim. Just hammer the advertising of ocPortal unmercifully wherever you can squeeze it in on your site!

Still working on cleaning up the theme files. May take a day or two, but should have it done by the weekend - if you can hang on that long.

Warning: The theme will be made publicly available as a contribution to the enhancement of ocPortal. In other words - it isn't going to be exclusive!

No.

May take a couple of days longer than I thought. Sorry about that, but 'real life' has a habit of interfering when least expected.

I won't go into details here, but it is a health issue affecting a member of the extended family, and everything else sort of pales into insignificance. I'm sure you understand.
