Well-settled

how to make a block have a dropdown title

I know this is easily done but I can't find out how... been search docs and forums for dropdown block, dropdown menu, etc. Can't find what I'm looking for and the when I try to edit the block to set a setting can't find a setting to do what I want. 'Cause I don't know what I'm looking for.

Here is the deal:

1.) I want to change text title and block name for the "pages" sub-item list in the left side panel ( I think I can do this OK)

2.) In my right side panel I have a Newest 10 downloads block I would like this to be a dropdown title, not expanded, I would also like it to display the titles of the downloads in a list( only) not title, poster/author, summary, fully expanded as it is now. Also search and Newsletter subscribe dropdown title bars, maybe loggin dropdown

3.) I would like a block "articles" with same title with three articles listed and a more button. So when user clicks a title in the 3 item display list or the more button... it opens a new page with a list of all article titles with links to the article to be selected.  (a long the lines of Fletche's Anglo-Indian Portal)

4.) During creating a theme I negected to tick debranding. Since managed to get debranding module in adminzone but it doesn't debrand my theme or I don't know how to do it.

Is there a couple tutorials somewhere thaat can walk me through these simple mods that my feible mind can't seem to figure out? are all/most of these settings in global.css?

Thx. In Advance for your always helpful pointers.

Hi Larry,

Here is a simple solution for part of the answers you are looking for related to:
"dropdown title, not expanded" (see images below, which tells the story better):

I'm sure other suggestions will be added as the day progresses.

Jean,
Thank you very much!!! That is exactly what I was looking for for some of the visual persentation of my site.

Is there a document that shows some of the "switches, opitions or toggles" that can be applied around and in blocks of comcode pages?

It would make it a lot easyier for me to see what  "they are and what they do", so I don't have to keep asking dumb questions to complete simple tasks in the forums.

My personal experiences with html, css, php has been limited.  But I have tons of experience on the network infastucture/internet/wan/lan side of things…..

….. just a step learning curve.  I am truely grateful to all the tolerance and support given me on this site!

There are many places on an ocPortal site where you will see among other links this image You can use Comcode giving you a link to the Comcode page listing. There is also an excellent Comcode Construction Assistant in the WYSIWYG version of any post editor on ocPortal (see images for details)

And then there are Tutorials on Comcode and Tempcode in the Documentation.

So you see, don't worry about asking questions if you don't know or not sure about something. There is so much information and different ways to get to it that it is impossible to know where it all is when you first discover ocPortal.
