I just checked how I have set up the audio clips included on my site which show only the control. Unfortunately, I see that I am using a standard Flash player instead of JWPlayer. I don't recaall if this is because I was having the same problem or just that I stumbled upon a workable solution. I have a hunch that it was because I couldn't eliminate the background image and found a quick resolution elsewhere.

If you are interested in my custom comcode for audio, it is below:

Code

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" width="{width}" height="{height}"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="movie" value="http://MYDOMAIN/data/flvplayer.swf" /><param name="flashvars" value="file={content}&image" /><embed width="{width}" height="{height}" allowfullscreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://MYDOMAIN/data/flvplayer.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" flashvars="file={content}&image" /></object>

Here is the example tag:

Code

[audio width="400" height="24"]URL of audio file to be played[/audio]

I use a height of 24 which exposes just the height of the controller.

Thanks for the input Bob. I should have mentioned that the code appears 'wrapped' for display in the Gallery feature, and I can't quite see where (or what) I need to edit.

HOWEVER

Now that you've triggered a thought process, I'll go take another look for a sneaky TPL that is throwing that in.

Unless somebody else can throw some light on the matter (HINT: I see temp is taking a look at the post!).

And temp doesn't use jwplayer but has been uusing something called Google to find Building Skins | LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player . Might be a thought.

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

Follow Up:

Fixed the (minor) display problem.

Followed temp's link, but that was too much hassle. So decided to hunt down 'how-and-where' JWPlayer was being called and rendered in ocPortal. Found it in JAVASCRIPT_JWPLAYER.tpl (you are probably shaking your head and asking, "Where else?"), and tracked down the little gremlins which I shall reproduce below the attachment …

JWPlayer - fixed

JAVASCRIPT_JWPLAYER.tpl

Find - line 840-843 …
        components: {
            controlbar: {
                position: "over"
            }
change to …
        components: {
            controlbar: {
                position: "bottom"
            }

Find - line 989 …
            a.embed.appendAttribute(h, "wmode", "opaque");
change to …
            a.embed.appendAttribute(h, "wmode", "transparent");

I still need to track down the start arrow image overlay, but that can wait for now!
