Disaster disaster: my computer has gradually been breaking over the last week, and totally died yesterday. I had ordered replacement parts, but to cut a long story short, the new graphics card was broken. So this has left me without a working development environment for two days. I have now finally reinstalled everything and am running again though.

Anyway, it couldn't have happened at a much worse time, as the forum has been on fire with posts, and my inbox on fire with e-mails. I will try and respond to what I need to ASAP.

One particular piece of e-mail caught my attention, with the title "Text editor bug very". I hate it when I find out about nasty bugs, because the personal consequences in terms of time and credibility can be really quite significant for each and every little mistake we make – so this one naturally made my heart flicker for a second. Turns out it was actually spam! A worrying trend indeed when spam triggers this kind of reaction in me ;).

Well-settled

Well I've found a bug :)

Have just added a pic to the gallery, added a description with it, there is no description shown and it has the text "Missing forum donwload comments" underneath it.

What's that about?

I found the description.

You have to put your mouse over the pic to read it.

Ok…. but why the big blue space beside it that looks like that's where the description goes?

And what's with the missing forum thingy? Did I delete a forum somewhere?

I may well have deleted something to do with downloads as asides from my own products there's little that any member need be downloading on my site. I'd like to steer away from downloads, legal or otherwise, MP3s, porn videos etc.

It's not a file sharing site in that sense.

Ah, just noticed this is in the 'don't ask for tech assistance' forum.

Sorry about that.

You're viewing the gallery, rather than an image. The space is there because there aren't other images in the gallery to fill it. If you click on the image you'll see it in full, and the description is displayed there more obviously.

With regard to the forum – I believe you've changed the name from the default name used in the configuration. This is probably because you were removing the word 'ocPortal'. That's fine, but you'll need to rename the forum too, so that they continue to match up.
