Congratulations to Amichan for being our first Member Of The Month!  

Ami has been involved in our community for many years now. She has:

• worked hard to promote ocPortal
• made lots of good suggestions
• set up community websites for ocPortal
• managed to be so active she is the only non-staff-member to show on the Point leader-board (on the left)!

Everybody, please show your appreciation to Ami.

Member Of The Month is our new way of giving credit to those in our community who give back. Every month we will be highlighting a member's efforts as our way of saying "Thank You", and to inspire other members to give back to the community too.

As we have only just started this competition there are a number of other members who have made great contributions that we have not yet been able to highlight. Over time we will be awarding others who have already made a great contribution, as well as new members.

For now yes. On opg which is my main site it will be used again for the main page as word press is not fulling working. The main reason I switched away from ocportal and moved to wordpress was I wanted to see what wordpress was like and to see if it could do what I was using ocportal for.
Wordpress worked to a point. The biggest issue is importing content from my ipb board, which I know ocportal can and does do with out any issues.

How ever my blog will continue to use wordpress do to it's powerful SEO capabilities and simplicity.

For another site I have been working on with a friend was going to use ocportal but it lacked 2 things that needs to be on the system we use. Tag cloud for navigation and or the ability to put an article into more then one category. It did sadden me to not be able to use ocportal for that project but I am not going to push ocportal into adding a feature as I have in the past, which I feel only upset the staff or frustrated them.

Actually tag clouds can be added as a block.

Block description said

Show a tag cloud, based on content meta-keywords.
Typical use: This is a common Web 2.0 feature, designed to provide automatic navigation through content-rich websites. Be aware that the tag cloud doesn't filter based on privileges: don't use sensitive words in your keywords if you're using this block

And news/blog articles can be placed in multiple categories.

So I assumed it was not possible. I even said, not on here but to those working on the project if we do not get a reply back on these soon we will need to use some thing else.

Still looking for that some thing else.

Thanks for answering the tag cloud one. I hope the next question I asked on there is easy as I do not want to manually add all tags (links) with in the content.
Oh and because it uses the meta keywords how do you get the meta keywords to be different then the tag cloud navigation words?

I guess what I really want and need is some thing that makes it easy for people to find what they are looking for. Having every thing easy to find and in the categories I want.
