Moving forward with Composr

Fan in action

finally live

WebMusic-Ed.com

Took about a month. I have learned so much. I have so much more to learn. O_o

Having put websites together for myself...I'm not a programmer or trained in a school or anything in website design, software or programming. I've learned everything using software that we used to have (Clarisworks, or something like that), and books like Websites for dummies, and using open source software (currently called KompoZer) and the tutorials that one finds online....that's why I knew to use the tutorials that are written by the geniuses here at OcPortal...

But another technique I have found sometimes (not always) useful is taking my subject out of the framework of OcPortal and asking it in a Google search...something like, "How do I open my website in OcPortal", for example.
Of course, I'm still looking for the answer to be in the forum or the tutorials, but I sometimes find that the search using the outside search engine pinpoints the answers differently than looking in the built in search engines.
I do find answers a lot through the search engine in the top of the administrator's page, too. Remember to re-check different (appropriate) sources since your search results might not be taken from the area you need!:'(

Soanyway, I have found almost every single thing I have needed using this incredible system. My hope is now to share it with many, many others, as that is key to its success and to the constant movement towards serving other peoples' needs most effectively.

Now, maybe I'll be able to take a breath and look at other peoples' websites!

Congrats on getting up and running.

One observation:

It appears to depend very much on a user's browser and settings …!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
