Volunteer Forums

We have just launched what we hope will become a valuable resource for organisations looking for people to help and for those people who wish to help others.

Community charities and volunteer groups can post their details and other information about what they are doing and how to help out. We will also dedicate a forum to publicising the campaigns of larger charities and activist groups.

I am just using the default theme right now but will develop the site as time goes on with a unique branding. I am still looking for volunteers to assist with the administration and moderation of the site as well as people to contribute to the discussions in the forums.

QLD and now Victoria are possible targets?

 

The floods are receding now in Queensland, the clean up and financial cost of the flooding will probably run into billions. There are up to 75% of homes not covered by insurance because of small print in the insurance contracts.

Victorians are now being flooded out and the clean up and financial costs will be astronomical.

We will be sponsoring people who want to go and help with the clean up through donations on the site. The actual running cost of the site is very low but any donations will go towards a "cause of the month".

If anyone has some spare time and could help with some graphics & a custom them it would be greatly appreciated. I've submitted the URL to the search engines & have started emailing charities to try and get some traffic happening.
