Put it up a few days back.   Not a lot modified yet, but a little here and there.

Air-RC Home - Air-RC

A lot to learn with this system, slowly building knowledge.

Thanks guys.   A steep learning curve in front of me, so time will tell how it goes.

Hmm..  I wish I posted that when I did it, now I have to piece it together to remember.  ;)

From another thread I put up, in order to shorted the months to 3 letters in the list:

edit that global.ini file, find 'date_regular_date' and change the %B to %b …  now regular dates will use the three letter abbreviation for months.

My templates for it are attached.  I did not use the proper comtext stuff for templating so that it could be translated on the fly, but at least it shows the setup.  They are in the templates_custom directory.

I think that may be it, I don't think I changed anything else…

btw, that reminded me that I could not find an option for 'only display new post if user has permission for the forum it is on' in there, so I wanted to eventually go into the code and add that.   thanks.

Thanks for sharing Arbo!

BTW when you add/edit the block itself in Zone editor it has an option to check permissions so I don't think you actually have to add anything in the template code it is done on the backend for you.

Fan in action

i love the site, i used to be an avid rc car fanatic when I was younger, i was wondering how long it took you to populate your forum, have you already had a members site set up and then added a forum.

Im just creating a new site and wondering if I should be starting to populate the forum my self to start off with.

Definately like the main page with the clean forum look.

Thanks.

No pre-doing anything.  Put it up, and started notifying some friends, and word is spreading.  Very slow, but all good things take time. ;)
