It's not allowing one to vote

I have a poll on the home page on
the right panel.

In the admin access it allows me to
select an answer for the poll. And
this in either IE/FoxFire.

When I hit the home page… It only
shows the results. No option to vote.
This is the same when Im logged in
as a regular member on the site.

I've reviewed my permissions over and
over. Not sure why…

Thanks,
CF-

To keep the vote far, if you've voted once, it won't let you vote again. That's tied to your IP address as well as your member ID - so logging out won't change that.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

No Poll Votes

Chris,

I have no poll votes. I haven't
voted, unless I deleted it and
that's possible.

Thank,

Did you click to view the results before? If you do that it also won't let you vote.

Actually I can now see you removed permission for guests to vote in polls. It's configured on:
http://yourbaseurl/adminzone/index.php?page=admin_permissions&type=specific&keep_novalidate=1&id=_FEEDBACK

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the follow up! I was wondering
because I was on another's computer and
it didn't allow voting either… Now it makes
a lot of sense.

Haver a great week!

Thanks,
CF
