Mediatemple moved my hosting from one cluster to another since them my ocportal site is displaying this error message :

PHP NOTICE [8] unserialize() [<a href='PHP: unserialize - Manual'>function.unserialize.php</a>]: Error at offset 3513 of 72307 bytes (version: 4.1.6, PHP version: 4.4.8, URL: /site/pg/start)

I may have move from php4 to php 5. could that be the root of the problem ? what can I do/ask mediatemple support to do to fix this ?

Thanks in advance !

Please try clearing the caches using the upgrader tool (/upgrader.php). It is likely the move introduced an incompatibility in the cache, and clearing it should get rid of that.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
