Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

Wonder if it is to late to make a post here.

Any way my name is Amy and I love anime and ocportal.
I have been using it on and off for a while.
First found out about it when looking for a portal system that worked with IPB. Tried every portal at opensourcecms, looked at hot and finally found ocportal. I did try another system before this a few infact. I started with xoops - ran it for a year or so but it started to fail and lack features and looked primitive. I then tried pc nuke, it had to many features and the members of my site did not like to have to make 2 profiles, one for the forum and one for the portal it self.
I then tried mkportal but lacked the ability to do what I wanted and it was hard to customize to do what I wanted, ended up droping it do to a few members complaining about it.
I then finally did get ocportal and it does every thing I want and more.
I use OCportal to generate a page I call PPY.

I run and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Of course its never too late.  In fact, I was just realizing that I hadn't posted in this forum since the rebuild.  I'll have to write a new intro. for myself and post it…. and I've been here for…. well, forever……  just kidding!   :P
