Hey everyone.

I have been playing with Ocportal for a while now off and on, on a test site and I love it.

I am working on a new site now that I am really looking forward to getting up and running. hireowneroperators.com I have an established site already that is a very heavily moded simple machines forum and I am still not sure if I want to leave it alone or convert it and make it part of my new site…I would really like to but I am not sure if I am up to the task.

Anyways, just figured I would finaly make a post and intro myself here :)

So are you a machine operator yourself? My dad works for a company where he is head operator for machinery.

Hi Eric,

Yes I am, been an operator since I was a teenager, love it. Spent the first 15 years in heavy construction operating the big machines and now the last year and a half or so I have been Owner/Operator. This is what I operate now spyderhoe.ca

Got into building websites when I decided to try building one for my business and really enjoyed it, became a hobby. The site I have for it now will soon be an ocPortal site, part of my multi site network for Owner/Operators.

The company my dad works for he builds machinery for overseas. They build and test it. If it works, they ship it out.

Hey, nice to meet you Brian!

I love those big machines and always dreamed of operating them.

As a Canadian living overseas where there is not a chance for snowflakes and hardly any rain, your site brings found memories.

It will be worthwhile to port it to ocPortal, as it will enable you to create a better sense of a community for like-minded spirits to share in your dreams and promote your company at the same time.

Best of lucks!

Cool Eric, what type of machines do they build?

Hey Islander glad you enjoyed my site!

I opened up the new site this morning  I still have lots of work to do on it but the basics are there anyways.

I guess I was off a little. They build parts for operating machines. But they still test them before they ship them off. And he said that his title is still "machine operator".  :P

Your site is coming along. Just need a new logo at the top left. That blue text clashes with the brown. But I like the feel of it. It works for the purpose of the site.

I tried to register on your site with my first name only and it was already taken.  :o   :'(

So I added my last initial. So that new member is me in case you wonder who the newbie is.
