Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to compo.sr for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

HAI im new and i have a small question, i closed my ocPortal so i can edit stuff and i want a few members to help me but i dont know how to add the permissions to those select members, is this possible?if so how?thanks

Hi and welcome to ocPortal.

Here you go:

If you don't want to set them as admins, you can create a usergroup and add them to it:

Admin Zone > Security > Usergroups > Add usergroup

Then when they are added..

Admin Zone > Security > Specific-permission > Staff actions
tick the usergroup for 'Access site when closed'.
Save

Now those members can access your site.

ok it worked thanks! but know i have a problem when ever members join they are automatically put as the rank, can i fix this?

You can add and delete usergroups/ranks in the same process I showed you above, but "edit usergroup" instead. There you can determine if members move up in rank or not as well as other things.
