Anyone remember me from a few years ago? I've returned and decided to use ocPortal again - Nice to see that many improvements have been made - The most important being that it actually allows people to register without having an admin validate it However, I have a slight problem that seems to occur very randomly. Sometimes I get an error about "Conflicting Cookies" (Mmmm cooookies). I have a feeling it is to do with two ocPortals being installed in the same webhost, however we have both set our configs to use different cookie names, and the portals are in different directories and with different MySQL Databases. The error only seems to happen to random users the first time they visit, and is solved by clearing the cookies. Anyone know why this happens? |

It's a really weird problem. To "fix" please remove this line from the JAVASCRIPT template: Code
if (!window.done_cookie_alert) window.alert('{!COOKIE_CONFLICT_DELETE_COOKIES;}');
We're going to disable this detection feature in the next patch release, as it behaves too erratically to be viable. If I answered something that you think should be in the documentation, please take the initiative and add it to the community documentation. We really need people to help out here and build a well-organised large support resource. |

I run Otaku Play Ground and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

I remember you, you helped to create the theme for my old ocPortal site (DXGame) I am hoping this new site becomes popular though.. Not looking to good at the moment however. People are downloading my program, but nobody is making use of the forums

my theme site does not get many posts so I added a few rss feeds to help get content. If you want to put themes on the theme site you are welcome to. Oh and I do remember your game site. I think I was a member but was not that active. Oh and back to people posting even I have trouble getting people to post on otaku play ground most people just play the games. I do get 100 posts a day but most of those are from the arcade posting the new scores in the forum. Good luck.
