we have almost finished translating

just ocf and pointstores inis are to be completed

but i'm not sure to have understood well the CONFIG_OPTION_forum_in_portal
i think that embedded means that the forums are inside the portal, between the right and left menus, and also maintaining the logo of the portal above. Is it correct?

Yes, that is correct.

I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

I'm sorry but if i can't figure out what is the exact use of a string, then I can't translate it in the best way
So here is another question:
"Congratulations, you have been accepted into the user group {2} on {1} "
I don't understand just that 'on'. May it be some kind of 'from'
I mean, {2} would be the new user group and {1} would be the old one, which has just been left?

thank you for your patience :)

there is another 'on'

USERNAME_CHANGED_MAIL= Your username on {1} has been changed to '{2}'. You will need to use this username for login in the future.

here it may mean 'ON a forum' (but it has not much sense) or 'FROM a username to another'

well now I feel it must be from

1) Can double post

If yes, then they can post more than once in a row, like you have in this topic.  If it was off, you would not be able to post after yourself.  However, even if it is on, you cannot post the same content as the post before.

2) an example:

Congratulations, you have been accepted into the user group comcode apprentices on ocPortal.com

{2} is the group, {1} is the name of the site.

3) For e-mail changing, it is the same as above.

Your username on ocportal.com has been changed to 'Foo'

Thank you so much, I had guessed wrong, about on

Now I'm just missing the PersonalTopic thing..

I have noticed a mistake, in ocf.ini:
MAXIMUM_SELECTIONS -> Minimum selections   ;)

"PT" means "Personal Topic", yes. Equivalent to a "PM" on other forum systems.

As long as you translate the language value so that it's equivalent to "Minimum selections", this doesn't really matter, although it'll be fixed. ;)

Now I am currently checking all the strings and I have found that I hadn't translated "ephem" in import.ini
Well, my dictionary doesn't have it, I also gave it a try online, but nothing. So would you please explain it in other words? Thanx.

It's an abstract feature for any kind of "picture with associated text". However it's only there for phpNuke import, and the phpNuke ephems get imported into an ocPortal catalogue.
