Question: about this language string: "Whether to sort/display according to first or last post time. Value must be either 'firsttime' or 'lasttime'. Default: 'lasttime'."
I like to know if for example 'firsttime' is hard coded in the text or that they are coded with a KEYWORD and translated. If hardcoded, what if there is a spell error? Does it fall back to English then?

Thanks, greetings Puran.

Hi,

Is there a searchprogram that can be used to search in a directory within the files in it, for a word or phrase and, when found, replace it with a word or phrase, and then (maybe afther a command) search for the next occurance of the word or phrase , even when in the next file(s)?

Greetings Puran.

Thanks, greetings Puran.

All block default options (anything in single quotes there) are hard-coded. If it's misspelt it will probably use one of the possible settings, depending on how the code is written.

I found them translated to dutch and (as a former programmer) had the idea it was hardcoded so I put them back to English, asking this question to be certain.

Thanks for the answere, greets Puran.

Hi,

About the critics errors I should post:
I checked the first 10 andthey all exist while the program said there not.
I got an idea and checked: The EN files are *.ini and the NL lang_custom are *.po, they also have a different format. Could it be that choosing NL use the new option that they can read *.po files but that critics use the old way in changed to *.ini files and so can't find the translation and say it is missing?

Greetings Puran

It is possible there is a bug in 5.0.2 I fixed and forgot about, but it does work in v6, I checked quite carefully earlier :).

Hi,

Launchpad is down for maintenance ! I can't finish this now depending on when it goes back online, sorry.
It's back online. This was the second time today. I must now give priority to private matters, hope to be back soon.
File Global:
URGENT!: File corrupted in Launchpad! Words are shifted to the next field fro 10+.
Error: The English word is missing. Please correct if possible.
10.
English: . Explanation: A comma-separated list of locale codes, given in priority (different systems have different availability, and convention).

For those changes (11-20) in Launchpad I don't get a save option so I can't change them in Lanchpad.
11., 18., 19. are looking strange. Are those translations ok?

I have a backup from Global.po so if needed....

Greetings Puran

Dreaming about an answer that push the above message up, back to attention. ……

The work is done except for the global.po file.
While waiting for an answer from friday morning till now, I download the *.po files, put them in a test directory and start trying to repair global.po myself. I have to setup a version 6 test ocPortal because translating isn't working in my 5.0.3. version. When ready I put the result online and you can pack it to distribute it. The files in Launchpad are all ready except for the global.po.

Greeting Puran.

Hi,

Looking at Launchpad the problem seems to be okay now.

However, we have no control over the operation of Launchpad so if you find a bug in it you'd need to report it to them via:
Bugs in Launchpad itself

Hi,

The global.po file had the same problems this morning, but one will not see them at first sight.
I have the series completed with a backup from the global.po
What will I do with it, now launchpad has no files yet and v6 in a few days? Do you want to make a zip file from it and offer it here to be downloaded by who wanted it, or must I do that?

Greetings Puran

Doesn't Launchpad allow you to import a new PO file yourself?

Nope. I have tryed that but my rank seems not to be high enough. I also try to send them a bug report but I get the message that ocPortal isn't a member from the bug reports list or something like that. Also the files are gone now (not visuable for me) so I can't report as they can't see then to I think because we have to wait for version 6 to get up. The site ask me what I come to do as nothing is there, so the link to the 5.2 version is a dead end for me now. I'm happy that I made a backup of all of it.
The global files header differs from other files in the start so I think it's something wrong on our side, maybe because it's the longest file from all po files? If I put the backup and the error file from Global above eachother I see differences in the two texts.
I loaded everything in the test version 6 on my site and it is working perfect with the backup global file in it, so I think it is wise to leave it so and offer the files for download. I put everything in a NL dir and gzipped them within the dir, so thats easy to unpack on a server.

Greetings Puran.

Hi,

I'll read this more carefully tomorrow, but I can quickly say just change "5.2" to "5.1" in the link you were using. I did some renaming, "5.2" was always an error on there (there never has been a 5.2!), so I fixed it, but it will have broken the link.

The link to 5.1.0 is available for me now.
The global.po file seems to be repaired and is working!
The files for the v6 translation not (yet).

Ah great, I didn't have to do anything either  .

v6 is importing, there is just one file that isn't done yet (abstract_file_manager), and I'm not sure why.
The summary of what strings have not been translated into Dutch yet seems to be wrong. E.g. "custom_comcode" shows as untranslated but if you go in you see it is. I think it may still be updating.
So don't despair about the missing strings yet, they're not all missing.
