Dutch Translation is almost halfways ready. Due to the closing upcoming closing of the barrcks and disbanding of the brigade, i had some setbacks on the work. I try to work on it as much as possible.

I hope to have it ready around end April.

If its sooner i'll let you know.

I have just finished my version of a dutch translation. However, since I have seen to many characters, I probably didn't translate everything as beautifull as possible and I assume there are some syntax error too.

Is there anyone who would like to check my version for error? I have attached a zip file, which contains all the ini files.

Thnx in advance and greetingzzz

[edit]
I have removed this attachment, because I have updated the language pack. You can find the new version a couple of post's below!

I have updated the Dutch language pack and exported it as a mod. See below for more information and instructions.

Dutch language pack update.

Extract the attached "Dutch language pack.zip" and import the extracted file in ocPortal.

This mod will add the Dutch language pack to your ocPortal installation. After importing this mod, you should replace all files within "…/lang/EN/" with the files within "…/lang/NL/". This because just simply setting your ocPortal installation language to Dutch might cause problems.

I've sent you it privately. If anybody else wants the 3.0.0 language pack before the release (for translation purposes), distribution will be considered on a case-by-case basis. :)

"The caption in escaped Comcode form"

What does the escaped means?
If i translate this literal, it doesn sound right.. it sounds like the comcode break lose from the prison..

Also, could the old posts her be removed? So it clearer to people whats happening with the translation..
yay 13 pages today!! almost there. Some pages took longer then i expected…

BLOCK_main_only_if_match_PARAM_param=Een komma-gescheiden reeks van tags (e.g. site:downloads:type=ad).

I'll close this topic and start a new one.

In this sense "escaped" is a technical word and it's quite hard to explain. I'll show some examples of escaping…

Code

echo 'Hello my name\'s Chris';

This is PHP code. Because the single quote symbol ends the quotation, a special "" is added to "escape" that from happening where we literally want to write a single quote.

Code

[quote="Somebody named \"Chris\""]
Whatever
[/quote]

This is Comcode. Because the double quote symbol ends the quotation, a special "" is added to "escape" that from happening where we literally want to write a double quote.

Code

<p>Laurel &amp; Hardy went to do some shopping.</p>

This is HTML. Because the & symbol is used to place special HTML things called "entities" (e.g. &nbsp, or & ), the "entity" for a literal "&" has to be used. Again, this is a kind of 'escaping'.

The 'site:downloads:type=ad' is correct. That's a pagelink, and each part of one is separated with a ':' symbol.

Okay, i'll ad a little example in the translation then, and use the english word. I'll also put in a 2nd link to show it, like you guys did with the comma separated names.

Minor setback, after running HitmanPro last night, and rebooting this morning i have constant BSOD's… So i backed all my files up, and now going to eradicate about 75 percent of the software i installed.
I (temporary) fixed this issue by using the boot string for last known working settings, but im not sure this will fix the lot…

So i have to straighten up my system first before i get to translate….

*PS im also after a new job, just 1 more time going there, show some of my skills and im hired.. Now my current boss needs to let me go.. And if i make it, i'll be able to spam this forum every day!!

As far as I know, there isn't a complete Dutch translation of ocPortal 3. You should start a Personal Topic with Leon, and ask him about it.

 Im back!! Got a bit tied up with work.. ( dang, never tought i had to work for real with a job :D, all that after 6 years of military service..)

I am going to make some time each night after work to try and release the NL pack ASAP. I will not be able to give a release date yet, this is due to the nature of my work.. I never never know on what times i come home.. Let alone what im doing the day after.. Or were i am the day after..

As soon as i have the lot translated i will try to give a approximate date.

just installing V3.newest to my testlocation so i'll see what strings are added / removed / edited.
Glad that i have a dual monitor setup.. A lot easyer with translating then.

Anyone wanting this translation please check back here often, as this is the place were it will be released.

If i recal right the PSD template (for all buttons) is availeble somewere here on the forum. That was also the most easy part of translating.
