(This is a standard post we make each time a new major release comes out)

As ocPortal version 9 is out now, ideally someone will update the ocPortal Wikipedia page. The developers don't maintain this because it'd be inappropriate for us to maintain our own Wikipedia entry (neutrality reasons). The version details need updating, but generally it is worth reviewing the page is still accurate and up-to-date.

Thanks to anyone who helps here, it's important we keep the outside world updated on ocPortal.

I updated Version information but the whole page could use a little reworking I think. Unfortunately I don't have the time for that right now myself but I will do so when I do if someone else doesn't help with it before then.

If someone would be kind enough to add me to the list of contributors, it would make my family and me very proud.

Maybe something like:
…with contributions from programmers Chris Warburton, Paul Duffy & Philip Withnall, and designers Allen Ellis and Robert Goacher.

Give your proper full name so they know what to write then :P.
EDIT: I am probably 'Chris' though. I wonder what the Wikipedia name policy is – common names or names on birth certificates. If everyone decided to call me 'Charles', I said people should call me 'Fanando' but my real name is 'Christopher', what does wikipedia have to say .

I always like having an excuse to write my full name: Robert Thomas Whitaker Goacher. But let's just stick "Robert Goacher" on Wikipedia for simplicity's sake!

Wikipedia seems happy to use common/chosen names. The best examples I can think of are Gordon Brown and Tony Blair. They are referred to as "Gordon Brown" and "Tony Blair" throughout Wikipedia, even though their real/given names are James and Anthony respectively.

What versions were/are still in support (and until when)?  That would be cool to add.  Like Joomla's entry's got:

Sorry to be a massive pain, but could someone remove my middle names from the page? I think we should stick to "Robert Goacher".
