Appleton, Wisconsin - USA.

Reaching some weather extremes that many places don't see. With highs temperatures near 100 degrees fahrenheit (though more commonly 75 to 85 degrees F) and the potential for severe storms with heavy rains, high winds, hail, lightning, and tornados in the summer. And lows (at times) below 0 degrees fahrenheit and the potential for blizzards dropping a foot or more of snow in under a day during the winter.

Appleton has a population of about 74,000. The state of Wisconsin has a population of about 5.8 million. There are about 1.3 million dairy cows in the state. These cows produce 3.2 billion gallons of milk per year, or about 14% of the total U.S. production of milk. Wisconsin also produces about 2.9 billion pounds of cheese per year, or about 25% of the total U.S. production of cheese.

Appleton is about 30 minutes south of Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the 4-time NFL Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football team. About 25 minutes north of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, home of the EAA AirVenture fly-in where pilots fly in from all over the world turning a small town airport into the world's busiest airport for about a week in late July. About 90 minutes from Kohler, Wisconsin, home of the world famous toilet (and sink, shower, faucet, etc) maker Kohler Corp. And about 2 hours from Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, home of some of some of the best water parks, resorts, and summertime fun around.

Jeese Jason, he just asked where you're from not a complete write up on your community :)

I'm from Terlingua in extreme southwest Texas, a few miles from Big Bend National park and a few more from the Mexican border.

Grand place to live, no neighbors to speak of, no noise and the stars at night really are big and bright!!

I enjoyed the write up Jason but had no real idea about those strange units of measures you were referring to.

temperatures near 100 degrees fahrenheit
cows produce 3.2 billion gallons of milk per year (You have a non standard gallon if I recall)
Wisconsin also produces about 2.9 billion pounds of cheese per year

home of the 4-time NFL Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football team.  (They are the guys that run around padded to the hilt. They should watch the All Blacks and Wallaby's play Rugby League to see what a body contact sport is about)

I am located North of Sydney and it is so darn warm we have to put our heads in the sand.

Yeah, I keep forgetting us Yanks in the States are still clinging to the imperial system of measurements that almost nobody else uses. And virtually everybody else in the world plays 'football' mostly with their feet and we play it mostly with our hands. And I have to admit, over the last 30 to 40 years, American football has been greatly sissified by more padding and more rules. I fear it won't be long before it turns into no-contact flag football or maybe turned into a virtual game where players play from the comfort of their team headquarters using XBox Kinect-type devices and virtual reality headsets and then player holograms are projected onto the field for the fans to watch.

LOL. In about a month or two the air temperature here will be so cold, we will have to stick our heads in the snow to keep them warm:christmas:
