I have a website where people can register with our club (currently 32,000 members) plus 8 separate SMF forums that I would like to integrate. Is this possible with ocP?
It should be that when a person registers as a club member, their name and password can also get them into the other forums so they do not have to re-register for each. Also as it is an international club, some of the forums are in different languages. Is this possible with ocP to have different languages for different sub forums?

think of it as them logging into ocPortal, not individual forums. You can have multiple languages but you must make English utf-8, so that they all run with that common character set. The internationalisation tutorials explain in more detail

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I noticed that in the Switching to ocPortal menu there is no support for swithing from SMF 2 Final to ocPortal. Will this be available soon?

No sorry, there aren't any plans here unless we get a large number of people (20+) asking about it, or a third party writes an importer we can bundle.
